MINUTES OF TEE ADJOURNED MEETTING OF THE OF CX3UNTV OTTER TAIL COUNTY MINNESOTA Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Ccnmissioners of Otter Tail County met Friday, i^ril 4, 1986. Chairman Olson c^^ened the meeting at 1:43 p.m., with all members present. Upon motion made fcy Bert Hovland, seconded by Hub Nordgren and imcini- mously carried, the minutes of the March 25th meeting were approved as mailed. Call to order All present Minutes approved I>totion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Sydney Nelson and unani­ mously carried, to approve the application of Steven Lehmcinn, for license to sell non-intoxicating malt liquor at Mosquito Heists in Pine Lake Township, a pro-rated license from May 15th through the 30th of June, 1986. Beer License Sheriff Union Requests The following Sheriff's Department Union requests were presented to the Board and discussed, with no official action taken: 1. Compensation: $50.00 per month, $16.00 health insurance coverage (effective 1-1-86) 34.00 (aash 2. Martin Luther King's Birthday as a paid holiday. 3. Sick leave over 120 days shall be banked. 4. Step increase provision from dispatch to patrol (1-1-86). 5. Shift differential of $1.00 per shift for employees working a majority of hours between 6 p.m., and 6 a.m 6. Severence pay: 50% of unused sick leave (not banked) with 10 years service 60% of unused sick l^ave (not banked) with 15 years service 75% of unused sick leave (not banked) with 20 years service • • John Halvorson of the Jail Study Ccmmittee appeared before the Board and reported on the two concepts of _,increasing the bed capacity in the new jail facility, reporting the possible additional cost to be approximately $189,000, using contingency funds as part of the funding.
