(7:28 p.m.) After consideration and discussion, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Carl Zick and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as stated in the variance application dated March 10, 2008 with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be presented at the time of conveyance. The Board noted that approval of this type of variance application to accommodate a septic system is consistent with past actions of the Board. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance, as requested. A letter from Michael Scherschligt'in support of the variance as requested was read for the record. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a • motion, second by Michael Harris and unanimously carried, to declare Lot J and the Northwest 25’ of Lot K, , Swanton’s addition in Government Lot 8 a.buildable lot for residential use. After additional discussion and consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Carl Zick and unanimously carried, to table, with the applicants’ verbal.permission. Part 2 of the variance application until the Thursday, May 1,2008 Board of Adjustment meeting to allowthe applicants an opportunity to review the measurements presented on their, drawing and to consider the relocation of the existing sheds. Jerame Tysdal -Approved with a modification, (7:04 p.m.) Jerame Tysdal, Lots 11 and 12, Block2 Midway Park, Otter Tail Lake in Otter Tail Township, requested a variance of 10’ from the required 20' setback frotti North Midway Park Drive and a variance of 5 from the required 20’ setback from the alley for the placement of a structure on Lot 1110’ from North ,Midway Park Drive and 15’ from the alley. Also, requesting a variance of 10’ from the required 20’ setback from North Midway Park Drive for the placement of .a structure on Lot 12 10’ from North Midway Park Drive. The audience was polled with Robert Singelman expressing concern with the granting of any variance that would obstruct the view from his property. A letter from Mrs. Menagh in opposition to the variance as requested was read for the record. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Rick Wilson to approve the variance as requested. This motion failed, with Michael Harris, Paul Larson and Randall Mann voting no. After additional discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Rick Wilson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 10’ from the required 20’ setback from North Midway Park Drive and a variance of 5’ from the required 20’ setback from the alley for the placement of a structure on Lot 11 10’ from North Midway Park Drive and 15’ from the alley. It was noted that the variance as approve for Lot 11 is consistent with the, immediate area and with other variances previously approved within the immediate area. After additional discussion and consideration, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 4’ from the required 20’ setback from North Midway Park Drive for the placement of a structure oh;Lot 12 16' from North Midway Park Drive and 10’ from the common lot line of Lots 12 and 13. It was noted that the variance as approved for Lot 12 will provide the applicant with a reasonable use of the property. I y^arence Johnson- Approved as requested with a condition.
