for the construction of a garage. The property is described as beginning at a point 50' west of
the NE corner of Reserve Lot F, Haggstroms Beach. Pickeral Lake in Maine Township. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. Letters from Russell and
Evelyn Harmsen and Russell and Lola Harmsen against this variance request were read for the
record. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Victor Petterson
and unanimously carried, to approve a 5' variance from the required 10' side lot line setback
for the construction of a garage. Hardship being a substandard lot of record and the granting of
this variance will allow the applicant to enjoy the same rights and privileges as his neighbors.
JAMES RUSSEL ROTHLISBERGER - APPROVED
.1James Russel Rothlisberger, Fargo. ND, requested a setback variance for the construction of a
1 O’ by 20' addition on the west side of the existing structure and a 12' by 24’ addition to the
north side of the existing structure. The property is described as part of Government Lot 1,
Section 11 in Dunn Township on Pelican Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for
or against this request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by
John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the setback variances for the construction of a
1 O' by 20' addition on the east side of the existing structure and a 12' by 24' addition to the
north side of the existing structure. Hardship being the uniqueness of the shoreline, terrain
and topography. The best use of the available property.

Sub-Division 101, East Battle Lake in Girard Township, and add 23' from an adjacent parcel
to create two parcels each with 150' of lake frontage. The applicant was represented by Milt
Paulson. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After
consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously
earned, to approve the sub-division as requested with the condition that a surveyor's drawing
Js provided. The new lots will be legal size lots and contain a building site,

and 18' from the road right-of-way. The property is described as Lot 5 and the N1 /2 of Lot 6,
Block 1, Trowbridge Point, Leek Lake in Candor Township. The applicant was represented by
Albert Skar, Jr. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request.
After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Victor Petterson and
unanimously carried, to approve a 6' variance from the side lot line and an 2' variance from the
road right of way for the construction of a car port( poles and a roof only, absolutely no side
walls), subject to the approval of the Candor Township Board and it can not be constructed on
the right of way. The car port can be constructed 4' from the side lot line and 18' from the road

to the existing home with a 9' setback from the road right-of-way instead of the required 20'
setback from the road right-of -way. The property is described as a Tract in Government Lot 1
called Lot 2 and the E1 /2 of Lot 1, St. Lawrence Beach, Rush Lake in Rush Lake Township,
Letters in favor of this variance request were received from the following individuals: Helen
Boedigheimer, Harry and Ethelyn Moe, and Ned and Betty Lather. The audience was polled with
no one speaking for or against this request, After consideration, motion was made by Victor
Petterson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a 9' setback from the
road right-of way instead of the required 20' setback. Hardship being a substandard lot of
record and the granting of this variance will allow the applicant to enjoy the same rights and
privileges of others in this area.

The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After consideration,
motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Victor Petterson and unanimously carried, to
approve the construction of the addition 30' from the shoreline by granting a 45' variance.
Hardship being a substandard lot of record, The addition will be no closer to the lake than the
existing structure.

2.5 acres from the original farmsite. The Property is described as Government Lot 3 and the
SWI /4NW1 /4 south of township road, except tracts. Section 15 of Eagle Lake Township. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After consideration,
motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Dan Oehler end unanimously carried, to
approve a split from the existing parcel of less than 2.5 acres with the following conditions: A
surveyor's drawing must be provided of the new parcel, the 50' by 150' parcel on the north
side of the road must be attached to the newly created parcel and ownership of the 50' by 150’
par cel must be established.
