Andy and Linda Crowe - Approved with modification. Andy and Linda Crowe, Edina, MN, requested a variance of 5T from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ and a variance of 5’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 20’ for the construction of a structure 24’ from the ordinary high water level and 15’ from the road right-of-way. The property is described as Lot 37, Fair Oaks, West Battle Lake in Girard Township. Milt Paulson represented the applicants at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Mark Steuart and carried with John Everts abstaining, to approve the placement of a structure at least 37.5’ from the ordinary high water level and at least 15’ from the road right-of-way. It was noted that the variance as approved would keep the structure out of the shore impact OJ'.H H-doC -(-c; Lc John Savre, Roseville, MN, requested a variance to put a 10’ by 12’ storage shed 12’ from a private road. It should be noted that the shed would ?it on a plywood base on 2 by 6’s. It should also be noted that the applicant’s five closest neighbors have sheds, which are 12’, IT, 9’, 8’ and 9’ from the road. The property is described as Lot 16, Summer.Haven Beach, Pelican Lake in Scambler Township. A letter from James P. Hutt in favor of the applicant’s request was read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the placement of a 10’ by 12’ storage shed 12’ from a private road as requested by the applicant noting that the placement of the storage shed in this location will not establish precedence for this immediate area and will allow the applicant the ability to enjoy the same rights and privileges as other in the immediate area. Hardship is a substandard lot of record. It was also noted that the proposed storage shed would not hinder snow removal efforts.
