Brad J. Drenttel, Morris, MN, requested permission to add 10' of basement to the south of the
existing 24' by 28' basement and to construct a one and a half story (one story with a loft)
above the basement. The property is described as Lot 9, Fair Oaks, West Battle Lake in Girard
Township, The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After
consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Dan Oehler and carried with
John Everts abstaining, to approve this variance as requested. Hardship being a substandard lot
of record and by granting this request the applicant will enjoy the same rights and privileges as
his neighbors. The structure will be no closer to the lake than the present structure.
BASSWOOD SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH - APPROVED
Basswood Seventh Day Adventist Church, Richville, MN, requested a variance to construct an
addition 25' from the road right-of-way. A variance of 15' from the required 40' setback. The
property is described as part of the SW 1/4, Section 35 In Dead Lake Township. The audience
was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After consideration, motion was
made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a
15' variance from the required 40' setback and to permit the construction of the addition to be
25' from the road right-of-way. Hardship being the pre-existing conditions of the property
and the terrain and topography.
RICHARD F. SCHULTZ - APPROVED
Richard F. Schultz, Moorhead, MN. requested a variance for the construction and attachment of a
10' by 14' screened room to the west side of an existing structure. Requesting a side lot line
vai'iance. The property Is described as Survey Lots of Government Lots 6 and 9 and Lot A1 ,
Section 1 in Dora Township on Sybil Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or
against this request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Afiderson, seconded by Cecil
Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a 2' variance from the required setback of I O'
from the side lot line. The 1 O' by 1 4' attached screen room will be no closerJo the lake than the
o.v.isting structure.
