James & Linda Matter - Denied: A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): This is an After-the-Fact Request - In June 2002, we replaced a railroad tie retaining wall with a paving block retaining wall at the time that we put in rip-rap for controlling lake shore erosion. We did not realize that we needed to get a permit, since we were replacing an existing retaining wall. Wall is 3 ft. high & 90 ft. long with 11 ft. x 14 ft. paved area & walkway to cabin (was cement, now pavers) & paved area in front of boat house now pavers. Replaced wood steps with pavers. Replaced rail road ties by boat house with pavers. The property is described as Weston’s 1®* Addn Ferncliffe Lots 15, 16 & 17, Section 31 of Girard Township: West Battle Lake (56-239), GD. Walker Lake Preserve fCIC#46VDonna Owens et al. - Tabled To April 2006: A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): 34 Unit Cluster Development with a public road, 2 private drives & pool with pool house, picnic shelter, (1) -18 slip dock, (1) - 16 slip dock, (1) - dock for boat launching. Project to be completed in 5 years. Also request to construct the public road & the 2 private drives. Vance Sherman questioned notification of lakeshore owners, traffic and the numbers of units being proposed. Dennis Hein stated opposition to rental property and expressed concerns with the number of units being proposed. Motion: A motion by Trites, second by Estes to table, at the Applicant’s request, to April 12, 2006, for the following reasons: 1. The Applicants need to provide a revised map showing the project meets the Shoreland Management Requirements (i.e. tiers & boat slips). 2. The Applicants need to provide clarification and detail on the proposed bridge that crosses the wetland. 3. The Applicants need to identify how the aquatic vegetation will be addressed. 4.
