Moir, LeMars lA, requested a variance of approximately 5’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the placement of a 24’ by 30’ garage approximately 5’ from the side lot line. The property is described as Lots 18 and 19, Sanda’s Beach, East Battle Lake m Girard Township. The audience was polled with no One speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made'by Robert Schwartz, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried with John Everts abstaining, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown and a location for the placement of the proposed garage without the granting of a variance does exist on the applicant’s property. William P. Moberg - Approved William P. Moberg, Verges, MN, requested a variance to subdivide, by metes and bounds description, a parcel of less than 5 acres from an existing 37 acre parcel. The tract would be approximately 37,000 square .feet. The property is described as part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23 of Lida Township by Lake Lida. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a subdivision, by metes and bounds description, of a parcel having approximately 37,000 square feet of area from ari existing 37 acre parcel with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided at the time of recording. It was noted that the requirement stating that the parcel has adequate space for two on-site septic systems would be waived due to the current system, which presently services this parcel. Hardship is a substandard lot of record. j Joseph Stol - Approved Joseph Stoi, St. Paul, MN, requested a variance of approximately 130’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ and a variance of approximately 30’ from the required shore impact zone setback of 100’, for the placement of a mobile home approximately 70’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 4 and 5, Block 3, Pischke and Taylor Addition, Spitzer Lake in Leaf Mountain Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Graig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of approximately 130’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ and a variance of approximately 30’ from the required shore impact zone setback of 100’ for the placement of a mobile home approximately 70’ from the ordinary high water level with the condition that the existing mobile home must be removed by August 15,1997, or the granted variances will be vqided.
