AUDITOR Fergus Fails, MN Box 464 Marshall, Mn. 56g58 Nov. 21, 1984 \ ;- K'IThe otter Tail County Board of Adjustment:> I He: Notice of Hearing for Variance on Dec. 8, 1984. . I Gentlemen:/I ! On Octoher 8, 1984 I wrote a letter to Mr. Malcolm Lee in regard to the matter of buildings being moved In on the described property without notice to nearby property owners. Apparently the soning ordinance is rather loosely adherred to if now there is a request being considered to add still one more building. As I described the mobile home which had been moved in on a lees than corredt sized area I hoped that someone would take a look at the size of the lot and the useage being made of it. I doubt that I could keep adding buildings on my own property in this manner. On the other hand I have enough respect for the lake area and its useage to never consider such action. It is really not possible for me to attend the hearing but I surely would aj}preciate having isy thoughts aired at it. I am enclosing a copy of the first letter. Yours truly , a M. Ualcolm Lee, Zoning Administrator Ottertail County : Fergus Tails, li!n. 56537 Dear Sir; I am the owner of the first tvo lots at S&liday Beach, on Bast Battle Lake, on the road to Lutheran Island Canip. Nearer to the island is a mobile home. This was moTed in several years ago after a fire burned the ^u&nset in that location. At that time the nearby property owners were notified of the wish to move in the mobile home. None objected. A short time before Labor Day this year another mobile home was moved in, between the first and the shore, much toe. This building is not acceptable in app^earance as it is very rough in looks. At present is is not booked up at all. Also there is a ■’for sale* sign shown, but that must be the number of the previous owner. close to the store. The structure is not easily noticed unless one is entering or leaving the island. It would seem that soning ordlziances have been by-passed; the same zoning regulations which the rest of us must follow. Since the mobile is horrible in appearance and was moved la illegally, it seems that it should be removed rather than a fine being Issued. Tour attention to this matter will be ^predated. Thank you.I. - ::Yours truly, : i S7a U.
