On August 1, 2002 the Board of Adjustment will consider a request made by Randall J. and Loretta M. Punt for a variance from the requir^ high water level setback and a requir^ wetlands setback for the placement of a septic system. The COLA is concerned that granting this variance could represent a threat to the water of East Battle Lake and the adjacent wetlands. The possibility also exists that a precedent might be established for placing septic systems within wetland and high water level setbacks.
