The eastern parcel would have an area of approximately 24,450 square feet and the western parcel would have an area of approximately 20,000 square feet. : Ur -'.T-.uc' Page 6. August 6th, 1992 Robert Lucking - Denied Robert Lucking, Perham, MN, requested a variance to combine parcel Cwith Lot 13 of Kaplers First Addition to make a substandard lot less substandard. The newly created parcel would have 80' of lake frontage and the required lake frontage for this lake would be 100'. The applicant is also requesting that this be considered a buildable lot and requested permission to build a house with a walkout basement in the bluff zone. The property is described as part of Government Lot 4, Section 6 and Lot 1 3 of Kaplers First Addition , Big Pine Lake in Pine Lake Township. At the July 2nd, 1992 meeting the following two motions were made: motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the combination of parcel C and Lot 13 of Kaplers First Addition and a motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to table the portion of this variance request that would allow the construction of a house with a walk out basement in the bluff zone until the structure is staked out on the property and a plan submitted for review by the board members. Dan Roger, a potential purchaser of this property, appeared along with the applicant at this hearing. The audience was polled with Thaddeus Misiak speaking against this variance request. After additional consideration, motion was made by Bert Olson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the applicant's request to build within the bluff impact zone as there is a buildable site on this lot that would not be within a sensitive area. Frank Tucker - Withdrawn Frank Tucker, Areata, CA, requested a variance to spilt a parcel with 200' of lake frontage into two parcels each having 100' of lake frontage. The eastern parcel would have an area of approximately 24,450 square feet and the western parcel would have an area of approximately 20,000 square feet. The property is described as part of Government Lot 2, Section 20 of Girard Township on West Battle Lake. This request had been tabled at the July 2nd. 1992 meeting. After additional consideration, the applicant requested that he be allowed to withdraw his request. Stewart Mensing - Approved Stewart Mensing, Ottertall, MN, requested a variance of 4' from the required drain field setback of 20' and a variance of 2' from the required side lot line setback of ) 0’ for the construction of a 24' by 36' garage. The property is described as Lot 12 of Riverview Beach and a part of Government Lot 5, Section 34 of Rush Lake Township on Otter Tail River. This request had been tabled at the July 9th, 1992 meeting. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter. seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 12' from the required 20' road right of way setback and for a variance that would allow the building line on the south side of the lot to be maintained for the construction of a garage to the existing home which cannot exceed a width of 26'and a depth of 24'. Page 4. July 2nd. 1992 Kenneth and Marie Kegley - Denied Kenneth and Marie Kegley, Dent, MN, requested a variance to have Lots 8 and 9 recognized as Individual lots. These lots were combined per the February 5th, 1992 shoreland ordinance as they did not meet the minimum standards for a natural environment lake as required In the ordinance. The property Is described as Lots 8 and 9 of Minn-Kota Beach, Dead Lake in Maine Township, The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown. The two lots combined still do not meet the minimum requirements. I Frank Tucker -Tabled Frank Tucker, Areata, CA, requested a variance to spilt a parcel wUh 200' of lake frontage Into two parcels each having a 100' of lake frontage. The eastern parcel would have an area of approximately 24,450 square feet and the western parcel would have an area of approximately 20,000 square feet. The property is described as part of Government Lot 2, Section 20 of Girard Township on West Battle Lake. Ronald Stabnow represented the applicant at this hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to table this request for additional information regarding the size of the lots and the availability of a public road for access to this property. ■J ■ ■ i Donald Baird & Tom Volberding - Approved Donald Baird, Henning, MN, requested a variance to combine Lot 4 Block 2 with Reserve Lot 4, and Lot 5 Block 2 with Reserve Lot 5, and Lot 6 Block 2 with Reserve Lot 6 and that these combined parcels will be considered as Individual lots for the purpose of sale and building in the future. The property is located in Oak Shores 2nd Addition, Rush Lake Township on Buchanan Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested. TIlford Kroshus - Approved Tilford Kroshus, Wahpeton, ND, requested a variance of 8' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for a 26' by 12' screened-in porch that has been constructed under a second story deck. The property is described as Lot 15 of the 1 st Add'n to Moores Beach. Pickeral Lake in Maine Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 8' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for an existing 26' by 12' screened-In porch that presently exists under a second story deck. i ,1
