Robert and Helen S. Jacobson, Richville, MN, requested a variance of 25’ from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 75’ for the remodeling of an existing dwelling, for the enclosure of the area between the
existing dwelling and the existing guest house, which is for the purpose of connecting the two, structures and
for a second story addition to the existing cabin. The property is described as Lots 12 and 13,. Gamp
Lingerlong, Otter Tail Lake in Amor Township. The audience was polled-.with no one speaking for or against
the request. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by David
Holmgren and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 25’ from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 75’ for the remodeling of an existing dwelling, for the enclosure .of the area between the existing
dwelling and the existing guest house with the condition that the garage, must be brought into compliance and
must not be used as an additional, dwelling unit. It was noted that the applicants’ proposed project would be
no closer to the ordinary high water level or lot lines than the existing structures.

level setback of 200’ for the replacement of a mobile home, which is located 88’ from the shoreline, with;a 34’
by 46’ dwelling with an attached 24’ by 24’ garage 116’ from the ordinary high water level (shoreline). The
property is described as part of Government Lot 1, Section 34 of Star Lake Township by Dead Lake. The
variance application was withdrawn.prior to the public hearing.

Herman Edward Hohit, Et. Al., Onley, VA, requested a variance Tor the placement of a new sewage system
within 10’ of an existing road easement. The property is described as part of Government Lot 4, Section 9 of
Star Lake Township by Star Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or apinst the request.
After consideration and discussion, motion was made by, David Holmgren, second by Cecil Femling and •,
unanimously carried, to approve a variance for the placement of a new sewage system within TO’ of an-
existing road easement as depicted, on the applicant’s drawing. A letter received with the application from
John Frank in support of the variance was noted for the record. Hardship is a substandard lot of record.
