(6:48 p.m.) After discussion and consideration, Thomas Lee made a motion, seconded by Michael Harris and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 104’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ to remodel existing structure/cabin, add second floor/story, and kitchen and add an attached 24’ by 29’ garage with the closest point being no closer than the existing structure, which is 96’ from the ordinary high water level as depicted on the drawing submitted with the variance application with the condition that the existing structure’s floor and walls must be usable and utilized for the proposed development. It should be noted that if the existing structure’s floor and walls are not usable and utilized then the variance as approved is void. It should be noted that the approval is based on the fact that this is a remodeling project and that the proposed addition is to the rear of the existing structure away from the ordinary high water level.
