(7:15 p.m.) After consideration and discussion, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Thomas Lee and carried with Leona Zimmerman voting no, to approve the placement of a deck no closer to the ordinary high water level then the front (lakeside) wall of the original main structure as this would provide the applicant with a reasonable use of her property and to deny the variance application as requested for the placement of the RVC as this unit would constitute a second dwelling on this property and no practical difficulty/hardship had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested for the RVC. After additional discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to grant the applicant until June 1 ito bring the property into compliance with the above referenced motion. (7:00 p.m.) Martha Gross, Lots 1 and 2-Camp Nidaros, Walker Lake in Amor Township, requested a variance of 50’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of a 22’ by 32’ addition 50' from the ordinary high water ievel. It should also be noted that an existing 5’ by 16’ addition will be removed. The audience was polled with no-one speaking for or against-the variance as requested. Bob'Madsen and Tim Gross appeared with the applicant at the public hearing. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested in the application dated April 7, 2010 and as depicted on the drawing submitted with the variance application.. It was noted that the proposed development will be no closer to the ordinary high water ievel than the existing structure and will not obstruct the view, from the adjacent properties. Joel C. Joel Shobe owns Parcel B, which is part of Parcel No. 46-000-08-0061-000. 1 would like to transfer Parcel C to Joel Shobe in exchange for Parcel B. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as described in the Schlagers’ application and in the Shobe’s application and as depicted on the drawings submitted with the variance applications with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be presented at the time of recording. It was noted that the variance as approved will . provide the applicant’s with the ability to square up their lot lines without significantly impacting the immediate area. Susan J Sabol - Denied the variance as requested for the RV and modified the variance as requested for the deck. (7:15 p.m.) Susan J. Sabol, part of Government Lot 9, Section 25 of Dead Lake Township by Dead Lake, requested a variance of 169’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a 16’ by 12’ deck 3T from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 100’ for the placement of a 29’ RVC 100’ from the-ordinary high water level. Prior to the start of this public hearing, Mike Harris, board member and neighbor of the applicant excused himself from this hearing and also left the meeting room until the conclusion of the hearing.
