VARIANCE REQUESTED IS: To modify the existing porch which sits within the shore impact zone
of Dead Lake. At present the structure is a porch connected to the lakeside of a mobilehome.
The porch measures 8' x 32' with a 9' x 40' roof. The previous application for variance
dated March 14, 1995 described the applicant's desire to install combination windows and
doors to screen in the 8' x 32' porch section. That application was turned down. This
application modifies that request so that the only alterations to the porch would be the
installation of screening rather than the installation of combination windows and structural
supports made necessary for this installation. There would be no need for windows, since the
porch would be entirely screened in. Screen doors would be used for access. A photo and
drawing of che site are attached.

MOTION AS FOLLOWS:

Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to
reconsider the application noting technicalities and substantial changes in the application
since it was first heard on April 6th, 1995. After additional discussion and
consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously
carried, to approve a water - oriented accessory structure, consisting of at least 80X
glass or screen, being no more than 10' in height and to be no greater than 8' by 32' in
size. It was noted that the addition of this water - oriented accessory structure would
not obstruct the view of adjacent property owners. Hardship being prior ordinance changes
that tied the applicant's lots together.
