Since the May meeting, the Land & Resource Department came to the site and staked the OHWL [Ordinary High Water Level]. In addition, the Department placed two stakes at 70’ from the OHWL, which is also the string line between the immediate two adjacent property owners. At this time, the Raby's are still contemplating either an addition to the existing structure, or building new, in which case the hew structure would most likely be west of the existing. Because the add|tiohal costs of design and drafting work, the Raby’s would like to have the variance granted before they make a final decision on whether to do an addition of build new. In any event the addition or the new structure would be behind the 70’ string line and with in all other setback requirements. The existing structure are already behind the 70’ line with the exception of a portion of the 10x12 deck. Thus, the variance request is for a 130’ setback from the required 200’ setback from the lake.
