Printers, Fergus Falls, Minnesota LAND & RESOURCE August 4th," 1 Page 6 Steven Bigelow - Approved Steven Bigelow, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance of 16' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the construction of a 28" by 40' second story on an existing basement and for the construction of a 26' by 32' attached garage 184' from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as part of Government Lot 3, Section 35 of Dane Prairie Township on Fossen Lake. The audience was polled with Betty Heinen speaking in favor of the variance request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Cecil Femlingand unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 16' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the construction of a 28' by 40' addition to an existing basement 184' from the ordinary high water level. It should be noted that the addition will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing basement and it should also be noted that the garage does not require a variance as the garage is setback over 200' from the ordinary high water level. Fagen, Montevideo, MN, requested a variance of approximately 37.5' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' and a variance from the shore impact zone setback for an addition to an existing structure. The property is described as part of Government Lot 3, Section 2 of Dead Lake Township on Marion Lake. The variance request was tabled at the April 7th, 1994, meeting for additional information. The audience was polled with Elise and Stanley Dahl expressing concerns regarding the common property line and the location of Robert Fagen's existing structure. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to table this request until the May 5th, 1994 meeting for additional information regarding the establishment of the property line and for information regarding the present location of the existing structure. Raymond Uselman, Jr. - Approved Raymond Uselman, Jr., Perham, MN requested a variance of 4' from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of a 1 O' by 24' addition 6' from the west lot line. The property is described as 75' of Lot 12, Big Pine Point, Big Pine Lake in Pine Lake Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter from Norman and Carolyn Koller speaking to the request was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 4' from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of a 1 O' by 24' addition 6' from the west lot line. Tim Nelson Sucher - Approved Tim Nelson Sucher, Ottertail, MN, requested a variance to place an approximately 23.5' by 10'screened porch within 50' of the property line. The property is described as part of Sub Lot 1 of Government Lots 3 and 4, Section 23 of Rush Lake Township on Rush Lake. The applicant was represented at the hearing by Lyle Pederson. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to allow the placement of a 23.5' by 10' screened porch within 50' of the property line. The granting of the variance will allow the applicant the same rights and privileges as his neighbors and no precedent will be established. Michael D. Berry - Approved Michael D. Berry, Clitherall, MN, requested a variance to subdivide Parcel A Into three individual lots. Lot 1 will be sold to the owner of Parcel B. The existing cottage on Lot 2 will be moved to the rear of the lot and a new home will be constructed that meets the current setback requirements of the shoreland ordinance. The applicant desires to transfer 33' from the Ingress and Egress Easement to the adjacent property owner and to offer Lot 3 for sale. Lot three requires a variance from the minimum lot size requirements for platted backlots. A rough drawing is on file for review. If the required variances are approved the applicant will provide a registered surveyor's drawing. The property is described as part of Government Lot 4, Section 31 of Girard Township on West Battle Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. April 7th, 1994 Page 5 Warren Dalen - Approved Warren Dalen, Henning, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres into 2 parcels and to transfer a portion of Tract B to Dan and Cheryl Gleesing, the owners of the adjacent property. The applicant owns Tracts B and C as shown on the map on file with the County Auditor's office. Tracts B and C are presently considered one parcel. The property is described as part of Government Lot 5, Section 34 of Girard Township on West Battle Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Carl Johnson and unanimously carried, to approve the variance to subdivide an existing parcel of less than 2.5 acres into two parcels with the condition that a surveyor's drawing will be provided at the time of recording. Daniel Lyle and Cheryl Ann Gleesing - Withdrawn Daniel Lyle and Cheryl Ann Gleesing, St, Cloud. MN, requested one of the following variances: 1.) a variance of 2' from the required south side lot line setback of 10'. 2.) a variance of 2' from the required 20' road right- of-way setback or 3,) a variance of 1' from the required side lot line setback of 10' and a 1' variance from the required 20' road right-of-way setback. The applicants have a 50' wide lot and wish to replace an existing structure with a 22' wide dwelling. The applicants indicated that thev' have engaged a surveyor and will have additional measurements available regarding the relationship of their lot to the township road. The property is described as part of Government Lot 5, Section 34 of Girard Township on West Battle Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to table the applicants' request until the April 7th, 1994 Board of Adjustment meeting, so that consideration can be given to a variance request that has been submitted by Warren Dalen, an adjacent property owner of the Gleesings, and is scheduled to be heard at the April 7th, 1994 meeting. If Mr. Dalen's request is granted the Gleesings will no longer require a variance. Due to the favorable action on Mr. Dalen's request Daniel and Cheryl Gleesing have decided to withdraw their variance request. T&S Properties - Approved T&S Properties, Anthony W. Snyder, Staples, MN, requested a variance of 145' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' and a variance of 45' from the required shore Impact zone setback of 100'. The property is described as Lot 8, First Addition to Freeman Beach, Dead Lake in Dead Lake Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter from Lowell and Carol Holm in favor of the variance request was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 145' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' and a variance of 45' from the required shore impact zone setback of 100' for an addition to an existing structure.
