Lamb, Horace, HD, requested a variance of 9* from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction of a 20' by 26' addition to an existing structure 66' from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 19' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction of a 10' by 36' deck, to the front side of an existing structure, 56' from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lot 1, First Addition to Pelican Lake Park, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township. Jim Anderson, Contractor, appeared along with the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Jiann, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 9' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction of a 20' by 26' addition to an existing structure 65' from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 19' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction of a 10' by 32' deck, to the front side of an existing structure, 56' from the ordinary high water level with the condition that no other water - oriented accessory structures can be placed in front of the dwelling. Ho precedent will be established in the immediate area by the granting of the variance request. It was noted that the 20' by 26' addition will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing structure. Cbarolette Lamb - Approved Charolette Lamb, Dilworth, MH, requested a variance to subdivide an existing metes and bounds parcel into two metes and bounds parcels of less than 5 acres. The Otter Tail County Subdivision Controls ordinance requires that metes and bounds parcels, within the shoreland area, must be at least 5 acres in size. One parcel would have approximately 150' of lake frontage and the other parcel would have approximately 100' of lake frontage. Both parcels would have a depth of at least 300' and would meet the minimum width and area requirements for platted lots on a general development lake. The property is described as part of Government Lot 2, Section 2 of Dead Lake Township on Marion Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Feraling and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested with the condition that a registered surveyor's drawing must be provided at the time of recording and with the condition that no additional variances will be granted in the future. It was noted that the lots meet the minimum requirements for platted lots on a general development lake. Gary Merle Besett - Denied Gary Merle Besett, Wadena, MH, requested a variance of approximately 17' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150' for the placement of an existing 18' by 32' modular home approximately 133' from the ordinary high water level at its closest point. The property is described as Lot 1, Block 1, Echo Ranch Riviera 7th Addition, Otter Tail River in Otter Tail Township.
