Explain your request:
nie applicant requests permission to locate a new dewelling of approximately
2100 square feet using a 75 foot set back instead of the 100 foot as required.
The request is made because the front edge of the lot next to the water is 12 to
15 feet above the water edge and the lot slopes downward to the back of the
lot. If one locates the dwelling using the 100 foot set back the level would
be 4 to 5 feet below the front edge of the lot. If the house was located with a
75 foot set back, then the level WDuld be only 3 to 4 feet. This would allow the
house to be constructed with a lower basement front. The applicant would like
to have the first floor of the dwelling level with the front edge of the lot.
In order to properly evaluate the situation, please provide as much supplementary information as possible, such as: maps, plans,
information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICIANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING.
I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tall County.
I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additionai variances and/or permits are required
by the township for my proposed project.
