SPECIFY VARIANCE REQUESTED—to have holding tank within 7 feet of the house. I lost m y home in a fire. I replaced it with a new manufactured home. I got the set backs from the court house and used a string line from the houses. I asked someone to assist me since I'm an over the road semi driver. We probed the holding tank, no drainfield involved, and even added 2 feet to inake sure we were set back enough. I was unaware that the holding tank is set cocked eye instead of parallel with everything. I lost income because of the fire, slept in my semi-sleeper until the new home was installed. If I had to move the home, which is all set and liveable, I would not only lose more income plus the expense, but I would be out of a place to live again. If the 7 feet is totally unacceptable it would be alot less hardship to turn the holding tank so that it is parallel with everything. There again there is no drainfield to worry about. Again, I might stress that the-closest the tank is to the house is 7 feet, the other portion of the tank is over 13 feet. Please help me out. I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE APPLIED FOR A VARIANCE FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SHORELAND MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE/SUBDIVISION CONTROLS ORDINANCE OF OTTER TAIL COUNTY. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT OTHER PERMITS MAY BE REQUIRED, IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT LAND & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT REGARDING THIS MATTER.
