SPECIFY VARIANCE REQUESTED
We are requesting a variance in order to relocate a bedroom and to replace an existing
porch with a 4 season sun room. See attached drawings to better describe the proposed
plan. Due to health issues in our family, our desire is to keep the necessary living quarters
on one level as this will be our retirement home and there is a concern of greater
disabilities in the future. The current design of the house has very limited aforage space,
therefore we need more room
As well, we are requesting a variance for a double garage replacing the existing single
garage and storage structure as was verbally agreed at the hearing dated May 4, 2000.
The need to have the garage along the lot line is necessary for access around the house to
the septic system and the proximity of the well. The existing storage building will be
removed within 45 days after the constuction is completed.________________________

MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE/SUBDIVISION CONTROLS ORDINANCE OF OTTER TAIL COUNTY.

Motion
George and LaRae Stebe - Approved addition to dwellirig as modified and conditioned. Denied the side lot
line variance for the garage and approved an ordinary high water level variance
for the garage.
Motion was made by Randall Mann, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to deny the side lot line
variance as requested for the garage noting that there is adequate area to meet the required side lot line setback of
10’, to approve the placement of the proposed garage on the west side of the existing dwelling so long as it is no
closer to the ordinary high water level than either the north or south sides of the existing dwelling and to approve the
placement of the proposed house addition within the following described area with the condition that existing structure
down by the water frontage will be removed as stated in the variance applicaiion:
Dwelling Addition Area - extend the north side, (wall) of the house easterly until it intersects with the northerly
extension of the easterly side (wall).of the existing porch,
