APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO retain fill material, and place additional fill in wetlands adjacent to Long Lake. The applicant placed fill material in an area of wetland along the shoreline of the lake to provide access and a yard area. The applicant proposes to place additional fill to complete the project. If it is determined that issuance of an after-the-fact permit is not in the public interest, corrective action may be taken in connection with the work already accomp­ lished. QUANTITY AND TYPE OF ;FILL: Approximately 100 cubic yards of rock, sand and earthen material has been placed in the wetland. An additional 140 cubic yards of gravel would be placed in the wetland and topped with a layer of black dirt. An area 47 feet long (along the shoreline) and 38 feet wide (landward) An additional area 103 feet long and 38 feet wide would be filled. FILL AREA: has been filled. We have decided to deny the permit for the proposed placement of fill material and order restoration of the wetland. Our public interest review showed that the benefits of the project did not outweigh the detriments.
