Planning Commission Motion
Motion- May 12, 2004: A motion by Trites, second by Schwartz to table (at the Applicant’s
request) to June 16, 2004 (revised plan is to be received by Land & Resoirce by June 1, 2004)
to allow the Applicants to work with the Township and develop a drainage plan addressing
impervious surface, roof drainage, etc.
Motion - June 16, 2004: A motion by Estes, second by Zimmerman to table, at the Applicant’s
request, to August 11, 2004 to allow time for the Township to file an Application to clean the ditch
and to allow time for Land and Resource Management to review the plans. The revised plans
are to be received by Land & Resource Management by July 23, 2004.
Motion - August 11, 2004: A motion by Schwartz, second by Sha to approve the original plan
provided the work is completed by the Township prior to any fill being placed on the two lots.
The work may be done after September f ’.

RE:
In response to your letter dated June, 22, 2004 we have enclosed the site grading plan for
the project. I just spoke to Ray Sormenberg of Hobart Township, and he indicated to me
that they got a permit for the ditch cleaning last Friday and are in the process of getting
bids to clean out the ditch in front of Caulfields, place a culvert beneath the road and
clean out the east side of the township road to the south to the drainage creek.

On June 16, 2004 the Planning Commission passed a motion to table your request. Their
motion is as follows:
A motion by Estes, second by Zimmerman to table, at the Applicant’s request, to August
11, 2004 to allow time for the Township to file an Application to clean the ditch and to
allow time for Land and Resource Management to review the plans. The revised plans
are to be received by Land & Resource Management by July 23, 2004.
