MtNMSOtA « % - 2 -Board of Adjustment June 2, 1983 Betty Aughenbaugh, Denver, Colorado, tabled from the May 5th meeting, requested permission to place a privacy fence 6' high on Lot 10, Inglewood, Everts Township, John Everts requested permission to be excused because of a conflict of interest. A clarification was presented in that the fence would start 66 feet back from the hi'ih wuLer mark, be a solid fence for 200 feet, then a split rail fence for 100'. After discussion, motion was made by Tom Stringer to approve, hardship being if ever there was justification in placing a privacy fence, this situation was it; it was clearly beyond a doubt the reasonable solution if the owner is to enjoy the privacy and full use of her property, with a commercial property located adjacent with a high density of use, private use being a hardship with the use and misuse of tonantr. including noice, beer cans and garbage, disputed use of parking cars. The motion died for lack of a second.Motion was then made by Tom Stringer to approve, entering a qualification that the 200* section of solid fence be of a construction that would permit flow of air. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson but failed Motion was made by Craigwith Frank Lachowitzer and George Walter voting,"no". Keith Johnson, Frazee, MN, tabled from the May 5th meeting, requested permission to place a garage 7' from the platted road right-of-way, on Lot 7, Clearwater Beach, ^ Hobart Township, After listening to various interested parties and town board appro­ val, motion was made by Frank Lachowitzer, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried, to approve the variance at 7' from road right-of-way, hardship being able to enjoy the same rights and privileges as neighbors, with backing onto property not onto road, township permission indicated no hazzard, best use of a substandard lot, Gerald R. Schulte. Dalton, MN. approved at the May 5th meeting, for a 19' variance with garage doors to be set at right-angles from road, on Lot 114 Sater-Humphrey Ranch Camp, Tumuli Township, re-appeared stating placement in that location would require driving over his drainfield. Motion was made by Craig Anderson to rescind the motion of May 5th.The motion was seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried. Motion was made by Craig Anderson, to grant a variance for plaement in line with existing neighboring garages, no closer to the road, with a variance of no more than 13'.The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried. Board of Adjustment 5 -May 5, 1983 Melvin & Vivian Fraki (Jack Thompson), New York Mills, MN, requested permission to split a parcel of less than 2.5 acres out of the NW%NE% of Section 7, Newton Township, without platting. After, discussion, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by% Craig Anderson and carried, with John Everts and Tom Stringer voting "no", to approve, because of the uniqueness of the location for business purposes, being in a commercial area facing the highway, meeting the needs for a mobile home sales enterprise, with only 2.1 acres available because of the terrain, state highway, township road, hill to the south. Keith A. Johnson, Frazee, MN, requested permission to construct a 24* x 30' garage two feet from road right-of-way on Lot7, Clearwater Beach, Hobart Township. After discussion and after listening to various interested parties, motion wasmade by Frank Lachowitzer to approve because of the unique terrain and size of lot, only place on lot to build. The motion was seconded by Tom Stringer. Motion was made by Craig Anderson to table for further information. The motion was seconded by George Walter and carried with Frank Lachowitzer voting "no". Dotiald F, Boline, Wadena, MN, request to enlarge an existing 12' x 16' bunk house to a 16' X 19' bunkhouse on Pt. of G.L. 10, Section 4 -of Otter Tail Township, was withdrawn, approval not needed. Faith Haven, Battle Lake, MN, requested permission to construct a 24' x 28' garage 19’ from road right-of-way, 21' variance, at Faith Haven Lodge, located in Section John Everts requested permission to "sit out", cussion, motion was made by Tom Stringer, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried to approve, hardship being best location on lot because of the well and terrain. 10, Eagle Lake Township.AFter dis- Richard Spanswick, Battle Lake, MN, requests permission to place a mobile home 75 from lake, on G.L. 3, Section 4, Girard Township, Craig Anderson requested per­ mission to "sit out". After considerable discussion, motion was made by John Everts to approve variance, hardship being steep terrain, with other cottages as well as a resort being located closer to shore.The motion was seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried. -r/:' \ T tV •• •, *. • June 1, I9B3 Board of Adjustment Otter Tail County Fergus Falls, MN 56537 In Re: Variance for Keith Johnson ■ '■ N The Hobart Township Board has viewed the property of Keith Johnson at Lot 7, Lake Six, Clearwater Beach, Section 6, Hobart Township and has advised Mr. Johnson that if he will build his garage 7 feet from the platted road right of way they will have no objection to his variance.
