It was noted that the proposed development will be no closer to the lake than the existing structures and the applicants’ proposal will bring an illegal situation into compliance with the ordinance by creating a single dwelling. mman/OtteIr Tail-County Board of Ad^stmentCh Pern^(s) required from Land & Resource Management A Yes (Contact Land & Resource Management) No Copy of Application Mailed to Applicant And the MN DNR Official/Date bk 0198-001 291.306 • Victor Lundeen Co.. Boldt, Frazee, MN, requested a variance of 20' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the purpose of attaching an existing guest home and porch to the main dwelling and for the purpose of adding a second floor being no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing guest house, which is approximately 80’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 21, 22, 23, and 24, Wymer Lake Resort, Wymer Lake in Hobart Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Rod Boyer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 20’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the purpose of attaching an existing guest home and porch to the main dwelling and for the purpose of adding a second floor which will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing guest house which is approximately 80’ from the ordinary high water level. It was noted that the proposed development will be no closer to the lake than the existing structures and the applicants’ proposal will bring an illegal situation into compliance with the ordinance by creating a single dwelling. Greg and Pam Krier- Denied. Greg and Pam Krier, Moorhead, MN, requested the following: “Due to the proportion of our lot, we are not able to place a structure within the guidelines, set up by the County. We are asking you to help us overcome this hardship. We have 82 feet on the top of our lot. With the current laws we have to place the mobile home 30 feet from the bluff and 20 feet from the road requirements. We are asking for a variance of 15 feet from the centerline of the road to place a mobile home on our lot.” From the applicants’ drawing it appears that the proposed 14’ by 70’ mobile home, at its nearest point, will be 18’ from the back property line and 30’ from the centerline of the road. The property is described as Lots 49 and 50, Oak Manor Shores, Loon Lake in Dora Township. A letter from the Dora Town Board of Supervisors opposing the applicants’ request was read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that it is quite possible that this is a non-buildable lot or a lot suitable only for short term camper use. The Board also acknowledged the concern expressed by the Dora Town Board of Supervisors as a reason by denying the variance as requested. The applicants were also informed that should a bluff not affect their property they could submit a new application for consideration without the payment of a fee. Roger and Elaine Wilde - Denied Roger and Elaine Wilde, Moorhead, MN, requested a variance of 46’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ and a variance of 4’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the placement of 1,296 square foot proposed dwelling 54’ from the ordinary high water level and 6’ from both side lot lines. The property is described as Lot K, Poss Survey Lots of Government Lot 7, Section 31 of Dunn Township by Lake Lizzie. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the applicants’ property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested and noting that their appears to be another alternative available which would not require the granting of a variance. l feetjnch(es) equalsfeet, or^rid(s) equals3cale:j^ % Please use this sheet for the required scale drawing of your proposal.
