Jan Bressin expressed concerns regarding surface water run-off.
Motion: Motion by Schwartz, second by Estes to deny the application for the following
reasons; 1) Lot 1 has elevation & surface water run-off problems. 2) The entire parcel
contains a bluff. It requires larger lots and erosion is an issue. 3) Poor access (very steep
approach) to Hwy #78 (erosion). Voting : All members in favor.
“Wee Villa Ltd Partnership” - Approved As Presented:
A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): Replace an existing 12 x
60 manufactured home with a 14 x 54 manufactured home on Lot 47 at Wee Villa Resort.
The property is Described as GL 4 Ex Trs (36.15 ac), Section 14, Elizabeth Township,
Long Lake (56-784), RD
Cory Heit represented the Application.
Motion: A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Maske to approve as presented. The
existing addition is to be removed with the existing manufactured home. Reason for
approval is that this is a 1 for 1 trade and not an increase in the number of units. Voting:
All Members in favor.
Marion Guntinson & Larry Urbach - Approved As Presented:
A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): To level off a 150’ x 200’
building site. Located in the SE corner of the SW1/4 of Sec 21. To use remaining dirt to
build a 350’ x 20’ driveway to existing approach. Any remaining dirt to be used on site.
Home to be a slab home with 4 ft footings. No basement. Attached garage. 1500-1700
cubic yards of excavation /fill. Maximum depth of cut 4 14 ‘. Requests to do the work this
year. The property is described as Lots 2, 3, 4 & SI/2 SW1/4 Ex Tr, Section 21 of Hobart
Township, Unnamed Tributary (56—^TR), Trib.
Tracy Schmidt represented the Application.
Motion: A motion by Estes, second by Maske to approve as presented provided
appropriate erosion control measures are implemented. Voting: All Members in favor.
Since the Planning Commission was ahead of schedule. Bill Kalar discussed with them the
Volunteer Committee established to review the Shoreland Management Ordinance (Cluster
Moratorium). A Motion by Lachowitzer, second by Maske to nominate Rod Boyer as a
representative for The Planning Commission on the Volunteer Committee. Voting: All
Members in favor.
