EROSION CONTROL PLAN
The present flow of ground water is to the east toward marsh areas. The roadway will follow the
same direction. The general area is wooded with a grassy floor which disburses and slows any
run off
The initial earthwork will consist of ditching along the north side of the roadway so as to
maintain the present direction of run off. Cut logs will be used to prevent soil erosion from
reaching the marsh areas. The logs will be strategically placed to contain any erosion.

STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN
EROSION PREVENTION
Land clearing will be done only to the extent necessary for construction of the roadway.
Borrow areas will be cleared as necessary at the time of excavating. Deep cuts will be avoided to
minimize rapid runoff of rain water. Every effort will be made to maintain a slow sheetflow of
runoff. Brush, stumps and timber from the clearing activity will be placed strategically to
disperse runoff. A moving berm will be used as necessary on the downslope side of the South
borrow area to prevent silt runoff.
SEDIMENT CONTROL
Four collection areas are identified to collect any silt before the runoff reaches the
wetland or swamp areas. These areas are noted on the site drawing and are relatively level,
heavily grassed areas adjacent to the wetlands that have provided natural control of sediment
from runoff for many years.
DEWATERING AND BASIN DRAINING
No dewatering is required.
POLLUTION PREVENTION MANAGEMENT MEASURES
The parties responsible for pollution prevention live adjacent to the site. Heavy rains will
be monitored and any erosion corrected before reaching the swamp.
FINAL STABILIZATION
Storm water runoff will remain essentially unchanged from the present flow prior to
construction. Ditches Avill flow to the aforementioned collection areas and the amount of runoff
will not increase from the present condition. Ditches will be covered with native vegetation and
will be augmented with seeding if necessary.
It should be noted that there is no identified direct connection from the wetlands to the
lake.
