Motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve the placement of
the proposed 28’ by 26’ garage in the location as depicted on the applicants’ drawing. The granting of the variance to
place the proposed garage 73’ frpm the lake and 13’ from the back lot line at its nearest point will provide the
applicants with a reasonable use of their property.

VARIANCE CHANGES
Moved garage to 21 feet from drain field.1.

2. Instead of the garage being 30 feet long we have changed it
to 26 feet long.;

HARDSHIP
1. our lot is not very deep
2. 15 years ago when we built, we did not plan to live out here
year around. Our placement of the cabin then, now gives us
some difficulty in attaching a garage to make this our
permanent residence.
3. As we age and hope to live here for many years, it would be
nice to have an attached garage during those long winter
months. We would not want to look back in 15 years and say we
could Jive here longer if we had an attached garage.
4. Placement of the garage to the west means not attaching it
or blocking the screen porch.

PICTURES
Pictures show the road to be a grass path that 2 property
owners use as a driveway.

2. We met with the Hobart Township Board to see if they would
vacate the road. They stated it was not a township road,
never been maintained. They said it wasn't theirs to vacate.
