BONNIE R. ERICKSON - APPROVED
Bonnie R, Erickson, Granite Falls, MN, requested a 4' variance from the required side lot line
setback of 1 O' for the purpose of screening the existing deck. The property is described as Lot
9, Rainbow Lodge, East Battle Lake in Girard Township. Mr. John Everts indicated that he would
be representing the applicant at this hearing and that he would be abstaining from the vote. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion
was made by Cecil Fern ling, seconded by Dan Oehler and carried with John Everts abstaining, to
approve a 4' variance from the required side lot line setback of 1 O' for the purpose of screening
the existing deck. Substandard lot of record.
EILERT 0. HELM - APPROVED
Ellert 0. Helm, Frazee, MN, requested a variance to raise the roof orvthe existing structure.
Roof will be raised from 8 to 15' to accommodate a small loft area. The property is described as
a tract in Section 3 of Hobart Township on Wimer Lake. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance that would allow the
roof of the existing structure to be raised from 8 to 15' to accommodate a small loft area. The
raising of the roof on the existing structure does not cause the present structure to be any
closer to the lake.
BLAINE BRINCEFIELD - APPROVED
Blaine Brincefield, Wadena, MN, requested a variance to split-off a parcel of less than 2.5 acres
from an existing parcel. The tract would have 100' on Co. Hwy. , and would be
approximately 236.5' wide in the back and 504.4’ in depth. The property is described as par t
of Government Lot 9, Section 31 of Corliss Township on Big Pine Lak.e. The audience was polled
with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration,^motion was made by Cecil
Femling, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as
requested, with the following conditions that no dwelling be allowed on this parcel and that a
surveyor's drawing must be provided
Wally Senyk, County Attorney answered questions from Board Members regarding the Shoreland
Ordinance that was adopted on the 5th of February He indicated that someone from the County
Attorney's staff will be attending future Board of Adjustment meetings to help answer questions
that m-ay arise as a result of the new ordinance.
.With no further business. Chairman Walter declared the meeting adjourned.
