SPECIFY VARIANCE REQUESTED ^ would like to sell Lot#6 on Chippewa Island, EastBattle Lake MN which I currently own to my oldest son William M. Steffen. My late husband and I were not aware back in 1992 that we needed to fill out some paperwork which would have allowed the two lots that we own to stay separated. My late husband Charles G. Steffen was in the midst of retiring as a school teacher at that time so I know that he was not aware of this requirement. At this time in my life I am starting to cut back on my workload and in about a year I will be 65 years old and would like to retire. My late husband and I worked hard to educate our 4 children and as a result we were not able to put a lot of money away for retirement purposes. This vacant lot^# 6 all along has been set-aside for our children to buy from us and thus give us some money so that we could retire and not have to be overly concerned about making ends meet. As a widow I do not have the energy to take care of my home in Osseo, MN, and my lake cabin, and the extra lake lot. My oldest son William has agreed to pay me fair market value for the lot. And I would like for him to have it. Please grant us this variance/^ that he can buy this 100 foot lot and some day build a> cabin on it for his children to enjoy.
