Bud Schwarz, Fargo, ND,requested permission to build a 26' x 40' house with aI X 24' attached garage on Lot 6, Harris Beach, Edna Township, motion was made by Tom Stringer, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried, to approve variance, hardship being best use of existing topography and existing septic system installed in 1968 restricts location of house. 22 After discussion. Robert Markey, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested permission to record a document con­ taining a metes and bounds description of approximately ,19 acre (8,296 square feet) in G.L. 3, of Section 27, Dunn Township, without platting. After discussion, motion was made by Cr^ig Anderson, to approve request^’hardahip being improvement of a sub­ standard lot with the addition of this parcel. The motion was seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried with John Everts and Tom Stringer voting no. Brian Brogard, Henning, MN, requested permission to record a one acre parcel,. rather than the 2k acre, because of requests by the FmHA for housing loan, in Section 13, r Henning Township. After discussion, motion was made* by Craig Anderson, seconded by George Walter and carried with Frank Lachowitzer and John Everts voting "no", to approve provided a surveyor's drawing is submitted. Donald Gervais, Moorhead, MN,requested permission to construct a 10' x 24' screened porch 43' from lake, on Pt. of G.L. 5, Section 31, Dunn Township, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by John Everts and carried, to deny approval. After discussion. as there are other places on lot to build the porch and dwelling already closer to lake than the neighbors. Wm. Subdivision approval authority. Basic guidelines for screening preliminary inquires. Exhibit A: Checklist of information required for subdivision reviews and explanation of items required. Exhibit B: Minnesota FmHA Environmental Information Form.Exhibit C: Guidelines for restrictive covenants. Ir} .l ' I, Definitions: Subdivision: Five or more contiguous building sites. Subdivision review is required. II. Scattered Site (New Construction): A subdivision review is not required for the following types of acceptable scattered sites: A. Farm sites on operating farms. B. Individual sites in existing villages, towns, or cities in scattered locations and not a part of a new area of development. ^ C. Sites in existing subdivisions with 4 or less building sites remaining. Open country sites owned by applicant without debt prior to loan applica- ^ tion. Sites may not exceed one acre even though owned by applicant or required by zoning. If larger, the surplus must be sold off and-the FmHA Mortgage will not exceed one acre.
