Edward W. Roger, Jr., Homewood, IL , requests permission to add a
20' X 20' great room to lakeside of existing cottage, 95' from lake,
on Lots 13-14, Yaquina Bay, Block 2, Dead Lake in Dead Lake Township.
Letters from several people were read and placed on file. After
consideration, motion was made by Dan Oehler, seconded by Craig
Anderson and carried, to approve as requested, hardship being a
substandard lot of record, with the addition being behind the existing
bui 1ding 1ine .
Gary L. Storm, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to construct
dwelling 150' from lake, on Lot 16, Block 1 of River Hills, West Red
River Lake in Friberg Township. Jerry Heldt and Greg Jacobson
appeared and spoke to the issue. After consideration, motion was
made by Daniel Oehler, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried, to
deny, no adequate hardship shown.

Alois Winkels, Ottertail , MN, requested permission to replace an
existing 16' x 24' garage with a 22' x 24' garage
line on Lot 6, McGowan Estates, Rush Lake in Rush Lake Township.
After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by
Cecil Femling and carried with George Walter voting "no", to approve,
hardship being a pre-existing situation, notunder the applicants'
control, are not encroaching onto the lake any further than existing
bui 1ding .

Robert C. Dawson, Fargo, ND, requested permission to #1, add a
screened porch, closer to lake than existing dwelling, #2, enclose
present screen porch with glass windows, <<3, add two walls to nitch
in corner of building to make a den, on a tract in G.L. 6, Section
6, Dunn Township on Pelican Lake, made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried, to
deny request #1 to add a screen porch, but approve requests #2 and
#3, enclose existing screen porch and adding two walls to enclose
a nitch in corner of dwelling, no adequate hardship shown for the
porch addition, with approval given due to no further encroachment onto lake, for items #2 and #3.

After consideration, motion was
David Carlson, Ottertail, MN, requested permission to split off a
parcel of 120' x 140' from a 2.9 acre campground, in G.L. 7, Section
4, Otter Tail River in Otter Tail Township. Motion was made by
George Walter to deny, no hardship shown. The motion was seconded by Daniel Oehler but withdrawn prior to vote. Motion was then made
by Daniel Oehler, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried, to table.
Donald Arends, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to construct
S'j' x 12' onto back of garage, 8' from lot line, on a .46 ac. tract
in Sublot A, G.L. 4, Section 28, Tordenskjold Township on Stalker
Lake.

After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by
Cecil Femling and carried, to grant approval at no closer to property
line than existing building, hardship being substandard lot of record
and previous variance granted to former owner.

Art Anderson and LeRoy Nelson appeared and spoke to the
rbne J. Neirby, tabled from September meeting, returned for considera
tion of her request for a 4' variance from the side lot requirement.
Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Dan Oehler and carried,
to approve the 4' variance as requested, hardship being a substandard
lot of record, with problem of placement because of a holding tank.

The Loretta Buchan request tabled from the September meeting was again
tabled upon motion made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Daniel Oehler
and carried.

with no action taken by the Board.
At 10:13 p.m., with no further business, the Chairman declared the
