RONALD SOLBERG - APPROVED
Ronald Solberg, Fargo, ND, requested a variance to construct a water orientated accessory
structure (screen house) 5' to 7' from the side lot line. The requirement is a side lot line
setback of 10'. The property is described as Lot 6, Spruce Lodge. Star Lake in Star Lake
Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After
consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously
carried, to approve a 3' variance from the required side lot line setback of I O' with the
condition that the shed on the west side of the lot, which is ahead of the building line be removed.
Hardship being a substandard lot of record and no precedents are being established.
LAVERN HILLRUD - APPROVED
LaVern E. Hillrud, Moorhead, MN, requested permission to construct a 24' by 32' garage 5'
from the side lot line. Requirement is 10'. The property is described as Lot 23 , First Addition
to Bowey Beach, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking
for or against this request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by
Victor Petterson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 5' from the required 10'
side lot line setback provided that he is no closer to the road than the str ing line between the
closest point of each neighbor's garage. Hardship being a substandard lot of record and no
precedents are being established.
WILLIAM NOVACEK - APPROVED
William Novacek, Erhard, MN, requested permission to construct a 24' by 36' garage 70' from
the ordinary high water mark on Lot 44. Heilberger Lake Estates, Heilberger Lake in Friberg
Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After
consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously
carried, to approve the variance as requested.
MYRNA MONDT - APPROVED
Myrna Mondt, Dent, MN, requested permission to split off two parcels of property each being
less than 2.5 acres from an existing 29.18 acre parcel. The parcels would be 1.45 acres and
.44 acres in size. The property is described as part of Government Lot 4, Section 8 of Dead Lake
Township on Dead Lake. Dolores Kruger and Steven Mondt were present along with Myrna
Mondt. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. A letter in
favor of the request from Ed and Eileen Hoger was read for the record. After consideration,
motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Victor Petterson and unanimously carried, to
approve splitting out two parcels of property less than 2.5 acres ( l .45 acres and .44 acres in
size) provided that a registered surveyor's drawing Is provided and that Parcel A as shown on
the drawing will be attached to Lot 7 Block 2, Yaquina Bay and that Parcel B as shown on the
drawing will be attached to Lot 6 Block 2, Yaquina Bay. Hardship being the transfer of land
between generations.
