WINN. ir\ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT June 1, 1989 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, June 1, 1989 with the following persons in attendance: George Walter Craig Anderson John Everts Cecil Femling Carl T. Johnson Tim Griep, Land & Resource Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no corrections or additions to the minutes of the May 4th roeetin c, declared sane approved as mailed. The following requests for variance were heard: Charles Bertelson, Fairmount, ND, requested permission to build a 14' X 16' storage building on Lots 16 & 17, Svendsgaard's Camp, Elizabeth Township, three feet from lot line and three feet from property line, on Long Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown. Larry E. Gripentrog, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to place a mobile home 65' from Heilberger Lake, on Lot 15 & 16, Heilberger Lake Estates, Friberg Township. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to allow a variance, setting the mobile home 80' from the lake, hardship being terrain. Glenn & Selma Erickson, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to construct an attached double garage on north side of existing house, 7 feet from lot line, on Lot 11, North Shore Park, Jewett Lake in Elizabeth Township. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Carl Johnson and unanimously carried, to grant approval, hardship being type of existing structure makes addition possible on only one location, with the oblique lines of the property causing difficulties. Roland 0. Peddycoart, New Brighton, MN, represented by Richard Peddy- coart, requested permission to allow a camper trailer to remain as second dwelling on Lot 4, Section 35, Girard Township in East Battle Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and carried with Cecil Femling voting “no", to deny, no adequate hardship shown. Robert Hanson, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested permission to split off a 20,000 square foot parcel from a 3 acre parcel in G.L. 4, Section 5, Maplewood Township, on Lake Lida, After consideration,- motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried with Craig Anderson voting "no", to approve, on the condition the description of the parcel split out from the original include road access, and a surveyor's drawing be submitted, with no further splits or variances to be proposed or accepted on this property . Boyd Halvorson, Battle Lake, MN, requested permission to construct a 33' road rather than the required 66 foot road, to serve a proposed subdivision of four lots, in G.L. 2, Section 29, Otter Tail Township on Otter Tail Lake. Halvorson changed his request to a 33' easement rather than road, to serve the proposed subdivision. Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Carl Johnson and unanimously carried to table.
