I measured from the crest of the hill to the waters edge about 20 yds. inside the east boundary of the property and found the distance to be slightly more than 260 ft. I then pro ceeded about 200 ft. down the lakeshore and measured back up the hill to the crest and found the distance to be in excess of 275 ft. I talked to Vernon Seeba, brother of Herman, and he said he phoned the applicant on Monday night. The applicant desires to be on the crest of the hill, which is well beyond the setback distance. I told that to Vernon Seeba and he indicated he also felt the crest of the hill to be more than 200 ft. from the waters edge. I in dicated the applicant could cut brush etc. to give him a better view of the lake. Based on this information, it does not appear the conditions are met necessary to issue a variance; additionally the applicant wishes to place his dwelling beyond the 200 ft. setback. Thursday, February 21, 1980 with Craig Anderson, Tom Donoho, Calvin Johansen, Andy Lindquist and George Walter present.
