Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Commission was held on February 4,
1987 at 7:00 P.M. in the Government Services Building, 505 South Court
Street, Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537.
Members Present; Cecil Femling, Frank Lachowitzer, Reba Lee, Bert Olson,
Victor Petterson, Jr
Robert Schwartz, Tom Stringer and David Trites.
K. Lee, Land and Resource Management and Barbara Hanson,
County Attorney's Office were also present.
A motion by Petterson, second by Femling to approve the
minutes of the December 3, 1986 meeting as mailed.

A motion by Portmann, second by Femling to approve the
conditional use application of Orlvn Pederson. Unnamed
Lake, No. 56-1132, NE, on Lots 3, 4 & 5 4 NW 1/4 NW 1/4,
Section 35 of Friberg Township as presented with the
condition that the shoreline is stabilized and fenced off
so no livestock use the area.
Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Lee, second by Olson to approve the conditional
use application of Bill Barnick. Dead Lake, No. 56-383, NE,
known as Pocanhontas Resort, Sections 7, 8, 17 4 18 of Dead
Lake Township as presented provided a variance is granted
for the location of the campsites and also that the sewer
system is updated. Chuck Krekelberg and Jerry Vinkelman
spoke to the commission.
Approved;
Voting; All members in favor, except Trites abstained.
A motion by Trites, second by Portmann to approve the
preliminary plat and conditional use application of Kramer
Realty. Round Lake Hide-A-Wav. Round Lake, No. 56-214, GD,
on Part of Government Lot 5, Section 22 of Rush Lake
Township with the condition that the remaining 50 feet on
the west end is added to the plat (property is to run up to
the railroad).
Motion Failed;
Portmann, Hatling, Schwartz, Trites.
Femling, Lachowitzer, Lee, Olson, Petterson.

Voting No;
Abstained;
A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Lee to approve Round
Lake Hide-A-Wav. providing there are only 2 lots.
