Motion was made by Randall Mann> seconded by Carl Johnson and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres from an existing 119.57
acre parcel with the condition that a registered surveyor's drawing must be provided at the

square feet. A registered surveyor’s drawing will be provided. The property is described
as the SEl/4 SWl/4 and Wl/£ 3E1/4 except tract. Section 34 of Friberg Township. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration,
motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Carl Johnson and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than £.5 acres from an existing 119.57
acre parcel with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided at
the time of recording.
Charles R. Aldrich - Approved
Charles R. Aldrich, Belle Chasse, LA, requested a variance of £5’ froB the required 30’
top of bluff setback for the location of a structure 15’ from the top of the bluff and for
the location of a cantilever deck for the second story 5’ from the top of the bluff. The
property is described as Lot 16, Block 1, Otter Tail Lake View Heights, Otter Tail Lake in j
Otter Tail Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the
request. After consideration, notion was made by George Walter, seconded by Craig
Anderson to allow the building to be £3’ from the top of the bluff. After additional
discussion the motion was withdrawn. After additional consideration, motion was made by
George Walter, seconded by Carl Johnson and carried with Randall Mann and Cecil Femling
voting no, to approve a structure £0’ from the top of the bluff with the condition that
nothing can be placed in front of the structure. It was noted that this decision was
consistent with previous actions taken by the Board of Adjustment.

Arnold and Janice Ness, Barnesville, MN, and Lynn Goerger and Janice Friedrich, West
Fargo, ND, requested a variance of £7’ from the required ordinary high water level setback
of 75’ for the location of two septic tanks 48’ from the ordinary high water level, a
variance of 7’ from the required structure setback of 10’ for the location of a septic
tank 3’ from the cabin located on Parcel C and a 10’ variance from the required structure
setback of 10’ for the location of a septic tank 0’ from the cabin located on Parcel B.
The property is described as Parcels B and C of Government Lot £, Section £0 of Dunn
Township on Lake Lizzie. The audience was not polled as there was no one in attendance.
After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Carl Johnson and
unanimously carried, to table the variance request until the December 1st, 1994, Board of
Adjustment meeting to allow the applicants an opportunity to discuss possible alternatives
with the Land and Resource office. The Land and Resource Department and the applicants,
due to a misunderstanding as to which party was going to make the contact, did not meet to
discuss possible alternatives prior to the December 1st, 1994, Board of.Adjustment
meeting. It was decided by general consent that prior to the next scheduled meeting the
Land and Resource Department would meet with the Health Department to discuss possible
alternatives and that the Land and Resource Department would make a report to the Board of
Adjustment at the next scheduled meeting and that the applicants would not need to attend
any additional meeting -to-discuss this variance request.

Wally Senyk, County Attorney, discussed various topics with the Board of Adjustment
members.
With no further business Chairman Walter declared the meeting adjourned at 9:40 p. n.
