Enclosed please find a copy of the April 25, 2001 Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
pertaining to your Conditional Use Application. Our Office has received confirmation that the
County Board approved your request as recommended by the Planning Commission.
As indicated in the Minutes, there were conditions placed on your approval. Please provide
our Office with the documentation that verifies th^se conditions have been met and at that
time a Conditional Use Permit may be issued.

\Sverre & Tamala Rostad / Erwin Eugene Emery - Approved With Conditions:
A Conditional Use Permit Application to build 935.78’ of 66’ wide easement road and
approx. 130’ of 18’ top driveway, plus to levehapprox. 3,500 sq. ft. area for dwelling.
Proposed 24’ top on main road to be built to County & Township specs.
Jacobsori Construction, Underwood, MN to do the construction. Approx, cut and fill of
3200 cubic yards done onsite. The property is described as the W 256.24’ of the SLY
900’ of GL 13 (said 256.24’ is measured perpendicular to the West line of said Sec. 3),
containing 5 AC more or less, Section 3 of Friberg Township and GL 5, SW1/4 NW1/4 ’&
GL 13 ..., Section 3 of Friberg Township; Tonseth Lake, (56-690), RD.
Sverre and Tamala Rostad represented the Application. Mr. Rostad indicated that the
proposed road will be 50’ west of the location shown on the plan, it was staked correctly
onsite.
Motion: A motion by Sha, second by Boyer to approve with the following conditions; 1.
The road may be adjusted where necessary in order to avoid wetlands. 2. An erosion
control plan must be approved by Land & Resource Management.
Voting; All members in favor.
Break: At 8;45 p.m., the Commission took a 10 minute bread.
Viking Resort / William & Janet Schicker -Approved With Gonditions:
A Conditional Use Permit Application to add a' 2"“ story to cottages (1) one, (2) two, (7)
seven & (8) eight, adding no bedrooms, only living space, 1®* floor to be kitchen, living
area, upstairs to be bedrooms. To. build owner’s home on Walker side, 200 feet from
lake. Will be on own sewer, not Otter Tail System.. Five and Six will be made into one 3
bedroom cottage. Add one cottage in back fielJ, two bed, for bedrooms taken from
cottage 6 & cottage 10. Will reduce cottages to 13. Have add sublot from next door.
Will put easement road on the site the way it is on the survey map (on file at Land &
Resource, Courthouse, Fergus Falls). All cottages will be the same footprint. All
cottages will.get sliding new windows, & roofs, new doors etc. All cottages will be white
with black trim / and be like new. RV site & Tent Sites can be give up. Repair rip rap on
Otter Tail Lake. Bring in 4 to 6 inches of top soil to plant grass on Otter Tail. 150 to 170
cu yds of fill to repair cottages 3 & 4, basement already approved by Land & .Resource
Office per Bill. 300 cu yds for walker owner’s home which will be a walk-out with drive
way, 60 x 40 home. 700 cu yds to repair & put easement road in to how it is on survey.
200 cu yds to build new cottage 23 x 24 in backfield. Work to be done by (road & dirt
work & rip rap) John Christensen, building & remodel work - Woessner Const. (Darold
Woessner), surveying by Anderson Land Surveying Inc - David Anderson. House cut 60
X 40, road top 16’ wide, and the walkout will be a natural walkout. The property is
described as Pt Lot 1, N of Lot 3, 4, 5 Camp Lingerlong & S of Road, Section 13 of Amor
Township: Otter Tail Lake (56-242) GD / Walker Lake (56-310) RD.
Joe & Janet Schicker and Clem Hendrickson (Anderson Land Surveying) represented the
Application.
