After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of approximately 5’ on the right to 8' on the left from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the construction of a 40' by 50' structure, The structure will be no closer to the lake than the structure to the right owned by Norman Amstrup. The hardship is the neighbor's shallow well, It should be noted that the string line test is not applicable to this situation due to a drainage easement on the adjacent property to the south of the applicant. William L. Weitzel -Withdrawn William L. Weitzel, Wahpeton, ND, requested a variance of 5' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' and a variance of 120' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the construction of a 24' by 24' wood frame boat storage and utility building on property located between West Battle Lake and Beauty Shore Lake. The new structure would be placed in line with the existing trailer home and an existing metal utility building will be removed. This variance request was tabled at the May 6th, 1993, meeting for additional information. After further consideration the applicant decided to withdraw his variance request. The parcel will have approximately 230' of lake shore and approximately 2.45 acres of area. The property is described as part of Government Lot 6, Section 21 of Tordenskjold Township on Long Lake. The applicant was represented at this hearing by Jack Hubeny, Otter Tail Real Estate Services. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. The following action was taken at the May 6th, 1993, meeting: After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to table this variance request so the applicant can discuss with the township the existing easement road. At the June 3rd, 1993, meeting a letter was received from the Tordenskjold Town Board stating that they had no objection to the subdividing of this parcel and that it was their opinion that the driveway was passable at alTtimes. After consideration of the Township letter, motion was made by Dan Oehler, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres from an existing 4.96 acre parcel as stated in the application, with the provision that all setback requirements will be met for any existing structures, drain field, etc. Jeanine Donaldson - Tabled Jeanine Donaldson, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance of 6'8" from the required side lot line setback of 1 O' for the construction of a 20' by 24' garage , The property is described as Lot 5, 2nd Addition to Outlet Beach.
