(6:47 p.m.) Stuart and Susan Seaborn, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance to separate Lot “L” from Lot “M”. Note - Each lot will exceed the minimum size for a platted lot on a natural environment lake, both have access to a public road, and both have room for onsite septic systems. Intention is for each lot to be able to have a residential structure. The property is described as a 5.34-acre parcel in Government Lot 6, Section 16 of Tordenskjold Township by Long Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Paul Larson, second by Steve Schierer and carried with Mark Steuart voting no, to approve a variance to separate Lot “L” from Lot “M” with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided at the time of conveyance. It was noted that each of the proposed lots would exceed the minimum size for platted lots on a natural environment lake, have access to a public road and have room for onsite septic systems. Thomas E. and Annette M. Good - Denied. (6:55 p.m.) Thomas E. and Annette M. Good, Staples, MN requested a variance of 9’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the replacement of an existing flat/sloped roof with a gable roof, for an addition, which will square up the existing shed, and for the residing of the existing shed, which is located T from the lot line.
