Stuart and Susan Seaborn - Approved as requested with a condition. (6:47 p.m.)
Stuart and Susan Seaborn, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance to separate Lot “L” from Lot “M”. Note
- Each lot will exceed the minimum size for a platted lot on a natural environment lake, both have access
to a public road, and both have room for onsite septic systems. Intention is for each lot to be able to have
a residential structure. The property is described as a 5.34-acre parcel in Government Lot 6, Section 16 of
Tordenskjold Township by Long Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the
request. After consideration, motion was made by Paul Larson, second by Steve Schierer and carried with
Mark Steuart voting no, to approve a variance to separate Lot “L” from Lot “M” with the condition that a
registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided at the time of conveyance. It was noted that each of the
proposed lots would exceed the minimum size for platted lots on a natural environment lake, have access
to a public road and have room for onsite septic systems.
Thomas E. and Annette M. Good - Denied. (6:55 p.m.)
Thomas E. and Annette M. Good, Staples, MN requested a variance of 9’ from the required side lot line
setback of 10’ for the replacement of an existing flat/sloped roof with a gable roof, for an addition, which will
square up the existing shed, and for the residing of the existing shed, which is located T from the lot line.
The property is described as Lot 13 and part of Lot 14, Jerry’s Breezy Beach, Rush Lake in Rush Lake
Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration,

variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow
for the granting of the variance as requested and there are other possible locations that^ould be
considered for the'placenrient of a storage shed.
Ann and Barbara J. Oacy - Approved with condition. (7:02 p.m.)
Ann and Barbara J. Dacy, Golden Valley, MN, requested a variance of 22’ from the required ordinaiy high
water level setback of 75’ for the raising of an existing dwelling by 3’. It should be noted that the existing
dwelling would remain in its present location, which is 53’ from the ordinary high water level. The property
is described as the West 150’ of the East 914’ of Government Lot 2, Section 8 of Otter Tail Township by
Otter Tail Lake. Jim Peterson, Anderson Land Surveying and the applicants’ contractor appeared with the

died for lack of a second. After additional discussion and consideration, motion was made by Randall
Mann, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve the raising of the existing house by
3’ with the condition that the dwelling must be moved back to at a location which is 10’ from the lift station
