Motion
Ronald Jr. and Margaret Shebeck - Denied. (7:02 p.m.)
Motion was made by Cecil Femling to approve the variance as requested. This motion died for lack of a second. After
additional discussion, motion was made by Mark Steuart to deny the variance as requested as there is no adequate
hardship and the applicant’s does have adequate room to meet the required setback. This motion also died for lack of
a second. After additional consideration and discussion, motion was made Leona Zimmerman, second by Mark
Steuart and carried with Cecil Femling voting no and with Steve Schierer abstaining, to deny the variance as
requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the
variance as requested. It was also noted that this is a large structure for the proposed location. The distance from
the dwelling to the proposed garage and the removal of some trees is not sufficient reasons to grant a variance from
the required setback. It was noted that the proposed structure is not within the shore impact zone and that drainage
from the proposed :ture would be away from the lake.
