MAGNUSON, M.D. Dear Sir:OPHTHALMOLOGY JACK W. PEARSON, M.D. BRIAN E SCHMIDT. M.D.I respectively applied for a variance ordinance in order to build my garage next to my house at 23 feet in height. As I understand the standard is a height of 18 feet. As I understand I need to apply for this variance primarily because my house is located on a body of water that is officially classified as a lake. The garage will be next to my house which has a high roof line and for aesthetic reasons I would like the garage height to be at 23 feet instead of 18 feet. OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY ERNESTO D. I am sure you are aware of my surroundings. There is no house within a quarter mile of where I live so this additional 5 feet will not obstruct any view. Furthermore the body of water that is officially classified as a lake is in reality a slough. It is not used for any recreational use. The body of water adjacent to my house usually is nearly dry by summers end and I own all of that body of water so this would not be for obstruction of recreational use for the public. I anticipate starting to build this garage towards the end of September and I respectively request that you allow this variance to go from 18 to 23 feet.
