SE with the lower portion of the bluff in the SE corner. The NW corner of the house would be dug
out approx 6', the SE corner approx 4'. The walls of the cut-out would be rounded and landscaped
with rock and shrubs to attain a natural appearance.The bluff height of 40' makes it impossible
to walk up or do\m without the use of stairs. I propose to shave the top portion of the bluff,
using the earth moved to fill the depression at the bottom of the bluff, leaving a high point
on the ice ridge to control the flow of run-off. The remainder of the bluff would be unscathed,
remaining natural in appearance from the lake. This would also provide a more scenic view of the
lake from the house location. No trees currently on the bluff or on the ice ridge will be removed
therefore eliminating any chance of soil erosion. I purchased the property while in the military
and with the intended purpose of just such a structure. My military retirement occurred August
of '90, the law changing after the purchase. I request this proposal be granted to allow for
the fulfillment of our intented dreams. Additionally, we desire a variance be granted to allow
for construction to occur 80' from the OHWL. This will allow for less earth to be disturbed, will
not require any additional bluff to be disturbed. This 20' variance will allow us a more open
