Raske - Approved the variance application as requested. (6:32 p.m.) After consideration and discussion, Cecil Femling made a motion, second by Robert Schwartz and carried with Randall Mann and Steve Schierer voting no, to approve a variance of 4’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 20’ for the construction of a 24’ by 24’ attached garage 16’ from the road right-of-way. Hardship is a substandard lot of record. Those voting in favor of the approval noted other similar structures in this immediate area that are not setback 20’ from the road right-of-way, therefore, the granting of the variance as requested will provide the applicant with the ability to enjoy the same rights and privileges as others in this immediate area. Those opposing the approval noted that there is adequate room to place the proposed garage 20’ from the road right-of-way and the applicant can obtain a reasonable use of hi:rty without the granting thi variance.
