September 8, 1987- 2 -Board of Adjustment
Roger J. Lipp, Fargo. ND, requested permission to replace an 8" cement
block boat house on Lot 19, Sky Blue Waters Beach, Hobart Township on
Lake Six, with a treated wood structure. After consideration, motion
was made by Carl Johnson to grant approval. The motion was seconded
by Craig Anderson. Motion was made by George Walter to amend the motion
to include structure 10' x 20' as original structure. The amendment
motion was seconded by Robert Schwartz and carried upon the following
vote;

The original motion was then carried upon the following vote, with
November 1, 1987 for completion being the deadline:

John W. Matteson, Saint Paul, MN, requested permission to add a 12' x
26' three season porch with deck above to existing residence which is
83' from lake, on Lot 18, Silver Shores, Everts Township, on Silver
Lake. After consideration, motion wasomade by Craig Anderson to approve
an addition not to exceed 12', using the string test from a spot 80'
from lake on the center of Lot 19, to the building line on Lot 16.
The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried upon the following
vote:

William Lively, Dent, MN, requested permission to build a 20' x 22’
garage feet from road right-of-way and 9 feet from side lot line,
in G.L. 7, Section 17, Edna Township, Big McDonald Lake. After con
sideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to approve a 15' variance
subject to township approval, hardship being a substandard lot of re
cord. The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and carried upon
the following vote:
All voting in favor.
Bill & Deanna J. Ellingson, Roseville, MN, requested permission to build
an 8' X 12' storage shed 25' from shoreline, on S.L. A, G.L. 5, Section
11, Edna Township on Little McDonald Lake. After consideration, motion
was made by John Everts to deny, no adequate hardship presented, to
approve would be setting a precedence as there are none or very few
such storage sheds in the area and there are other alternatives. The
motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and carried upon the following
vote:

Connie Jo Dirks, Pelican Rapids, MN, represented by Scott Dirks, re
quested permission to subdivide Sublot 1, G.L. 9, Section 14, Norwegian

parcels. Motion was made by George Walter to table for further in
formation. If motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and carried
upon the folic., ng vote:

Franklin G. Hanson, Detroit Lakes, on behalf of Mary Carlson, prospective
purchaser of the D. A. Dodds property on Lots 43 through 46, Block 1,
Pelican Point, Dunn Township on Pelican Lake, requested permission to
construct an 18' x 48' porch onto existing dwelling, 62' from lake on
one side and 41' from lake on the other. Speaking were Brilce Seim,
Herman Lehn, Wayne Gustavson and Dorothy Gustavson. A petition with
32 signatures was presented. Motion was made by John Everts to approve
the addition at no closer to lake than 56' from high water mark. The
motion was seconded by Carl JOhnson but failed upon the following vote:

No - Walter, Anderson and Wiechmann
