It was the general opinion of the Board that the lot is very congested and grossly substandard and the applicant's proposal would require excessive variances. WINN. f'; HIHUTES OF THE HEETIHG OF THE OTTER TAIL COUHTY BOARD OF ADJUSTHEHT April 6th, 1995 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, April 6th, 1995, vfith the following persons in attendance; Craig Anderson Leslie Estes John Everts Cecil Femling Randall Hann George Walter Bill Kalar, Land and Resource Director Tim Griep, Land and Resource Management Wally Senyk, County Attorney Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Chairman George Walter. Minutes Approved - March 23rd, 1995 Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the March 23rd, 1995, meeting were declared approved as mailed. The following variance requests were heard: Burton Leonard Nypen - Denied Burton Leonard Nypen, Ortonville, MN, requested a variance of 61' from the required east side lot line setback of 65', a variance of 52' from the required west side lot line setback of 65', a variance of 28 square feet from the maximum size requirement of 260 square feet and a variance of 16' from the maximum width requirement of 20' for the construction of an 8' by 34' porch/deck (water-oriented accessory structure) 4' from the east side lot line, 13 feet from the west side lot line and having 288 square feet of area and a width of 36'. The property is described as Lot 31, Deer Lake Beach, Deer Lake in Everts Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter from Dolores Saurer in favor of the applicant's request was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and carried with Craig Anderson and George Walter voting no, to deny the variance as requested.
