Lauris Woessner appeared with the applicant [ at the public hearing. The audience was polled with Ron Tischer and Richard Haire speaking for the I variance as requested. Two letters in support of the variance as requested were read for the record. One I letter was signed by Marilee Tischer and the signature on the other letter is not readable. After I consideration, Cecil Femling made ^ motion, second by Joe Maske and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested with the following conditions: 1.) a registered surveyor’s drawing showing the I line subdividing Lot 3 must be provided, 2.) the remaining portion of Lot 3 must be permanently attached to I Lot 16 Clearmont Beach, 3.1 Lot2.Blo.ck.1 Sandv Shore Development mi^^be pern\anently attached to Lot |t^4.) the back lot and front lot combinations noted above can have only one dwelling, and 5.ythe a rear" * I contained within the back lot cannot be used when calculating impervious surface coverage for front lot I development. I! ame^ and Mary Bies - Denied (8:54 p.m.) James and Mary Bies, Lot 5, G Anderson Survey Lots of Government Lot 1, Section 30 of Otto Township by Rush Lake, requested a variance of 6’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 20’ for the construction of 26’ by 40’ garage 14’ from the road right-of-way. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Michael Harris and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested and the applicants have and can obtain a reasonable use of there property without the granting of the variance as requested. Michelle Jennings - Denied. (9:00 p.m.) Michelle Jennings, Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21 Viken Bay Beach. Pelican Lake in Dunn Township, requested a variance to split 4 substandard contiguous lots into two separate buildable lots. Lots 18 and 19 with approximately 18,000 square feet would be considered one parcel and the other parcel would be Lots 20 and 21 with over 20,000 square feet. Area requirement is 20,000 square feet. Both parcels would have 100’ of frontage. Jerry Smith, Realtor, represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration, Cecil Femling made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that the variance as requested would create a substandard lot and might also create a lot which is non buildable because of an area which appears to be a bluff. September 29, 2006 Randall Mann 532 Ann Street Fergus Falls, MN ^ jxttoMMjdi I thanked the board for giving the variance involving lot 15, 16 and 3. However, this had ^ ^ nothing to do wdth lot 17 and 2. 1 pay $800-$ 1000 in taxes on lot 17 and do not want it destroyed by selling and someone building a monstrosity on the lot. RE: Lots on Sandy Shores Development and Lots on Clearmont Beach The lot 2 shack on blocks has been there for 40 years, why would it have to be joined now? I have paid water & sewer yearly on lot 2 and on lot 17 ever since sewers were developed on Ottertail Lake. I keep my expensive tools locked up in the lot 2 shack. And, keep my refurbished antique tractors in the sheds on lot 2. Wayne said to join lot 16 to lot 2 but I said, “I don’t want it joined on account it is half Keith’s.” I am a 76 year old with poor hearing and I never heard anything about lot 17. I also am confused as to why my front and back lots are to be joined when that is not the case with many others on Clearmont Rd. I don’t understand how my situation is different from others. This situation has really been bothering me and at my age it is very important to me to have this situation straightened out. Randall, I very much appreciate you looking into this and taking care of this situation for me. Please get in touch if you have any questions. ay DeBoever 425 Stahlman Ave. Destin, FL 32541 850-837-9399 Enc: Lot Map Approved Variance 't>l5P06IT?6fU /OP/i)TS I t}A 6l^lC(o Survey No-2006033 ■n Notice of Hearing for Variance Otter Taii County Government Services Center 510 Fir Ave W Fergus Falls, MN 56537 (218) 998-8030/998-8041 Email - wstein@c6:Ottertail.mn.us yvww.co.otte'r-tail.mn.us Applicant must be present at the scheduled hearing.
