Minnesota May 7, 1998 Page 6 Robert and Janice Tubandt - Approved Robert and Janice Tubandt, Wadena, MN, requested a variance of 12’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the construction of a dwelling, with an attached garage, 63’ from the water edge and 20’ from the dedicated road. The property is described as Lot 9, Block 3, Echo Ranch Fifth Addition, Otter Tail Lake in Otter Tail Township. Mark Stone, Contractor, appeared along with the applicant at the public hearing. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 12’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the construction of a dwelling, with an attached garage 63’ from the waters edge and 20’ from the dedicated road. It was noted that the proposed structure would be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing homes in the immediate area. Hardship is a substandard lot due to erosion that has occurred on the lakeside of the applicants’ property. The proposed structure will be within the existing building line as you look to the east. Gerald L. Erickson - Approved Gerald L. Erickson, Dalton, MN, requested a variance of 80’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the construction of a 30’ by 40’ steel pole garage/storage building with the closest corner of the building approximately 120’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as part of Government Lot 6, Section 4 of Tumuli Township by Rose Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 80’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the construction of a 30’ by 40’ steel pole garage/storage building with the closet corner of the building approximately 120’ from the ordinary high water level with the condition that an existing gas tank be relocated as far from the ordinary high water level as possible. It was noted that the proposed site will not obstruct the view of the neighboring properties, will allow the runoff to be directed away from the lake and considering that much of the applicant low is quite low this site is a reasonable location for the placement of this structure. Arnold E and Arlene Olson - Approved Arnold and Arlene Olson, Battle Lake, MN, request a variance to subdivide a parcel having a width of 15’ at one end, a width of 130’ at the other end, a length of 384.73’ adjacent to the township road and a length of 365’ on the other side from a 2.97 acre parcel without a registered surveyor’s drawing. The proposed subdivision would be permanently attached to Lot 17, Oakwood Beach. The property is described as a 2.97-acre parcel in Government Lot 4, Section 33 of Everts Township by Silver Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide a parcel having a width of 50’ at one end, a width of 130’ at the other end, a length of 384.73’ adjacent to the township road and a length of approximately 365’ on the other side from a 2.97 acre parcel with the condition that a registered sunyeyor’s drawing must be provided at the time of recording. It was noted that the remaining portion of the parcel is still a good-sized lot for purposes of development. Robert and Cheryl Sefkow - Withdrawn It was noted for the records that the variance application of Robert and Cheryl Sefkow has been withdrawn. scank:d A j ;! ■ i ;■i 4-^V i•V10ANDERSON LAND SURVEYING.
