ROBERT POOLMAN - APPROVED
Robert Poolman, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance from the required 20’ road right-of-
way setback. The property is described as Lot 2 Block 5, King's Addition to Clearvlew Beach,
Pelican Lake in Scambler Township. A letter from Glenn Renfandt in favor of granting this
var iance request was read for the record. The audience was foiled with Zenas Baer, Attorney
fr orn Hawley Mn, speaking against the granting of this variance request. Attorney Baer stated
several reasons why he felt it would not be proper for this Board to grant the variance being
requested. Attorney Zenas Baer was representing Georgia Ann Wells who was also present at
the hearing. It was pointed out by the applicant that there is currently a property line dispute
with a neighbor. The applicant pointed out that the variance requested is not from the sidelot
line setback requirements. It was also noted that there is no setback requirements from
easement roads. Attorney Baer stated that if the Board approved this variance request it would
be appealed. After much discussion and consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson,
seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to approve a 5’ variance from the alleyway in
the rear by County Road 20,
