It was oted that the applicant’s proposed project will not obstruct the view from the adjacent properties and that Nancy A. Hess - Denied. (6:22 p.m.) Nancy A. Hess, Cook, MN, requested a variance of 60’ from the required 6rdi7Tary"highw¥ter level setback of 75’ for a 6’ by 8’ addition in the southwest corner of the existing structure being located 15’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as 53’ adjacent to Lot 26 on easterly side of Point, Wall Lake Point, Wall Lake in Dane Prairie Township. Bob Olson represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with Alfred Hensch speaking for the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Mark Steuart, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested. It was noted that the structure is within the shore impact zone and that the applicant’s proposed project is just to close to the ordinary high water level. LuVeral A. Blaha - Approved with condition. (6:31 p.m.) LuVeral A. Blaha, North Oaks, MN, requested a variance of 78’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the replacement of the slant roof portion of the cabin with a gable type of roof located 72’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 19 and 20, Channel View, Otter Tail River in Otter Tail Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by Steve Schierer, second by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 78’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the replacement of the slant roof portion of the cabin with a gable type of roof located 72’ from the ordinary high water level with the condition that before a permit can be issued for the proposed project the two existing storage sheds noted on the applicant’s drawing must be removed. It was noted that the applicant’s proposed project is normal maintenance for this structure.
