Bryan and Cynthia Olson, Lot 10 Block 2 of Peach’s Shady Shore, Star Lake in Star Lake Township, requested the

consideration and discussion, Thomas Lee made a motion, seconded by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 1.5’ from the required 10’ side lot line setback of 10’ for the placement of a 4’ by 8" balcony
8.5' from the side lot line. The balcony will be used as a fire escape for the second floor bedrooms.
Hardship/practical difficulty is a substandard lot of record. The development as approved will address a public safety
issue by providing egress from the second floor. The variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any
other variances for the proposed or future development.
